Prior events:

Sat. September 24, 2016:
The 3d Annual Flight Fest was a huge success!  There was music, food and fun for all ages - and of course, a celebration of Glenview Aviation history and of our Veterans!  Glenview Hangar One Foundation and BIHG rolled out the new $40,000 PHASE 1 fundraising effort to raise money for a Feasibility Study for a site adjacent to the Park Center in Gallery Park.  This is the next step in the planning of the proposed new NASG Museum and Flight Academy - thanks to all who contributed to the success of this day, including sponsors Indestructo Party Rentals, Berkshire Hathaway and Windy City Flyers!  To donate to the PHASE 1 funding goal, please visit the GHOF website or use the GHOF website link on our "Contact Us/How to Help" page.

September 26, 2015:  The 2nd Annual GPD Flight Fest was held in Gallery Park!  BIHG co-hosted the Glenview History and Aviation Activities Tent with Glenview Hangar One Foundation.  GHOF presented a fantastic NASG photo presentation and our Jr. Flight Academy activities included carrier landings, navy signal flag face painting and Saturn V rocket crafts and launches!  Blue Max Aces r/c plane club was there with an amazing collection of radio-controlled planes on display!

September 27, 2014:

The Glenview Park District presented a new community event:  Flight Fest!
BIHG and the Glenview Hangar One Foundation co-hosted the Glenview History and Aviation Activities tent!  Community youth got involved, as many GJFA Ambassadors were on hand to share their knowledge, and the crowds were treated to several showings of the GBS student documentary, "Wings Over Glenview."  The event was a huge success, drawing an estimated 7,000 visitors - a great time was had by all!
