THE HEART OF THE MISSION AND GOALS FOR THE PROJECT:
- To produce an archival documentary-style film that captures the personal stories of those who served at NASG and to raise Glenview’s public awareness and pride in the important place in history achieved by the US Naval Air Station.
- To produce a short film for purposes of historical reference and education by providing public access in Glenview’s Hangar One Museum, Glenview Public Library, Glenview Historical Society and area educational institutions.
- To promote a connection between the youth of our community with area military veterans to foster understanding and appreciation for their service and the contributions made to our country.
- To benefit the learning process for GBS Advanced Television students by exposing them to the process of creating an oral history in a documentary film format.
